Monthly MeetingsJoin us on the third Wednesday of the month, February-June and September-November, for an evening of fun, learning and fellowship. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Canterbury Woods Community Center, 12184 Chaucer Lane in Lake Ridge, Virginia. DirectionsEach month we feature a demonstration, lecture or other activity which promotes the creation, understanding and enjoyment of the visual fine arts. (See the Calendar of Events for details.) Meetings are free and open to the public. |

Paint-OutsOut of ideas? Need inspiration? You're invited to go on a PWAS "Paint-Out," as we visit many of Northern Virginia's notable, historic, or just plain scenic sites. Relax in the gardens of Oatlands Plantation; revel in the spectacle of the Bull Run bluebells; study nature up close at Leesburg's Naturalist Center; travel back in time in Waterford, VA."Paint-Outs" take place every month as weather and time allows; bring your art supplies and a bag lunch, and be prepared to let those creative juices flow. Car pooling can be arranged. |
Workshops, Gallery Visits, and Other ActivitiesSeems like we always have something going on! Whether it's an all-day "abstracts" workshop or a trip to the National Gallery - the Art Society sponsors a number of activities year-round of interest to both the working artist and the casual art lover.
