Bull Run Regional Park
Acres (literally) of bluebells in April. There's a fee, but if you go on a weekday it's usually waived.

Green Springs Garden Park
Rose gardens, shade gardens, manor house, ponds - Green Springs has it all. Best of all, it's free.

Oatlands Plantation
Formal gardens and a handsome plantation house. Artists who register for their fall show may enter the grounds for free.

Old Rose Garden and Ben Lomond Manor House
Small, but worth a visit. Fabulous roses, and the house is nice too. Free.

Virginia Arboretum
Acres of gardens, woods, ponds etc. in beautiful Clarke County. While you're visiting, stop in Paris (on Route 17) and check out the amazing view. Free.
