Teresa Ahmad is a native Virginian. Raised in Vienna, and recently moved to Woodbridge in 2009. She went to Virginia Commonwealth University and received a BFA in Communications Arts and Design, with emphasis in Illustration.
For the last fifteen-plus years, she has worked behind the scenes in public relations, advertising, marketing and radio. From 2005-2011 she took on the role as Director of the Vienna Arts Society’s Art Center. Teresa’s portfolio consists of artwork in acrylics on canvas with a diverse approach.
She enjoys working in pen & ink with a variety of subject matter, and has won awards for some of her renderings. She creates pastel renderings with a more realistic approach and has been commissioned for portraits. She continues to design marketing tools, including logos, for companies and organizations.
Ms. Ahmad’s art work can be seen throughout the East Coast and Hawaii, and some of her paintings are on display with permanent art collections. Teresa is a member of the Prince William Art Society. She was honored with Signature Member status with the American Society of Marine Artists since 2010. She is considering more competitions and memberships in 2012.
