Marty grew up in Roanoke VA and had an interest in drawing and painting at a very early age- so much so that her parents put her into private art lessons at the age of 7! She never lost the interest and went on to pursue a fine arts degree from James Madison University ( class of 1972 ) She has taught classes and seminars since then and has studied with various artists in the Washington DC area. She belongs to the Prince William Art Society, Manassas Art Guild and the Lorton Workhouse Art Guild. She works with oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink and pastels. She will accept commissions to do customers homes, animals and portraits
